By 2020, more than 70 percent of Americans with HIV will be age 50 or older. TPAN has long been a vital care provider for older adults living with HIV. We are proud to introduce Positively Aging.
Positively Aging is TPAN’s newest initiative to deliver innovative and compassionate care to older adults, ages 50 and older, who are living with HIV – whether newly diagnosed or long-term survivors. Through this first programmatic collaboration with The Reunion Project, a nationally recognized coalition of leading HIV advocates and long-term survivors, TPAN will address individuals’ unique HIV-related health and psycho-social needs and concerns. We will also share selected stories related to the experiences of older adults living with HIV through Positively Aware, our well-respected, national publication that has been among the most trusted sources of HIV treatment and advocacy news for almost 30 years.

A NATIONAL PEER-DRIVEN SUPPORT NETWORK.
Positively Aging information and engagement will extend across the country through The Reunion Project and its inspiring and informative town hall summits. These gatherings provide an opportunity for older adults living with HIV to connect with peers, share experiences in aging, and empower one another through powerful advocacy and dialogue. Positively Aging combines with The Reunion Project’s established network of experts and volunteers to expand conversations about local resources and needs.
To join The Reunion Project and learn more about Positively Aging in a city near you, follow their latest news on Facebook. The next community town hall summit will take place in Chicago in June, 2019!
CUTTING-EDGE INFORMATION. PEER SUPPORT. INSPIRING STORIES.
Positively Aware will share the storytelling and care innovations of Positively Aging – including experiences from The Reunion Project’s powerful peer networking – with readers across the country. PA now carries a new column and content section under the banner of “Positively Aging” in each issue (6 editions per year). The magazine will share selected stories related to the experiences of older adults living with HIV, revelations gathered from community town halls throughout the U.S., and updates on the important direct service work being delivered in Chicago.
